EZ DOES IT Dance Etiquette Safety Wristband
Dancers and students alike are more likely to continue group classes as well as social dance with other dancers of similar or different levels when there is less risk of being uncomfortable or hurt. When you are wearing an EZ Does it wrist band you are saying, “ I’m open to communicating about limitations, injuries or preferences so that we can create a more comfortable fun and safe dance environment.”
Here are a few examples:
I don’t like dips or lifts
I’m new to this dance and I only know basics
I have a neck injury and don’t want to do any neck rolls
I have a back injury and don’t want to do any weight supported or weight sharing moves
Can you give me a light lead
Can we take it easy, I’m really tired tonight.
I’m not feeling 100%, can we take it easy
I’m uncomfortable with forceful movements
I don’t dance with full body contact (genital contact)
I don’t dance in close embrace
